■ More than 60 employers, some of whom may hold on-the-spot job interviews, will be on hand.
■ Find out about and apply for an array of job openings in unskilled and skilled trades, health care and professional fields.
■ The JobLink mobile unit, a service of the N.C. Department of Commerce, will be parked in front of the Guilford Convention Center to provide assistance for job seekers at the Expo. The vehicle is equipped with computers, wireless Internet and a television monitor. Free career exploration, résumé development and career assessments are a few of the features available on board.
■ Triad Careers will offer its resources to assist job seekers with their search.How to prepare
■ Bring plenty of copies of your résumé to hand out.
■ Make sure you have pen and paper so you can take notes and record names and contact information of company representatives with whom you speak.
■ Take along your employment history: a list of past employers, including reference names, phone numbers and addresses, which you will need to fill out applications completely.
■ Be sure to dress in business attire.
